Activities and Leadership

1
President of the Language and International Health Society
Serving as president of the LIH Society has allowed me to connect with so many people during my time at Clemson and has helped me build confidence in my leadership and teamwork roles. We have had many exciting events, such as movie nights, ice cream socials, and guest speakers who have taught us about current international health topics.
2
Undergraduate Lab Assistant for Anatomy and Physiology Lab
Being an Anatomy and Physiology ULA has been one of my favorite and most fulfilling activities during my time in undergrad. I have loved helping the students build their confidence and knowledge in such a complex subject and deepening my knowledge on the content as well.
3
Study Abroad in Oaxaca, Mexico
During the Summer after my freshman year, I completed a three-week program in Oaxaca, Mexico, where I shadowed multiple clinics and hospitals. I observed my first surgery in one of the hospitals we observed, an experience I will never forget (since I almost passed out). This experience helped me better understand myself and my passion for medicine.
4
South Carolina Public Health Preparedness Student Corps
This program taught me how to assist as a volunteer during disaster and non-emergency public health events. The program provided me with foundational training in emergency preparedness, community response, and public health support through activities such as a Johns Hopkins COVID-19 tracing course and a Stop the Bleed course.
